Crescent City and Beyond with the "Treffen Cruise"

Day 3 of the Cuise, Aug 2nd

Internet activity has been limited, so I am overdue for an update to all of you. We met up with the cruise on August 2nd in Crescent City, CA. We missed the first 3 days due to time in Colorado. We met at Fisherman's resturant, and from there cruised to a local shop that served us BBQ. The dinner was impromptu, and later we returned to Fisherman's to met those that stayed.

That night we were lucky and got one of the last spots at Del Norte State Park. We have learned that "Campground Full" means ask because we have spots. This entire trip hasnt had reservations and we have always had a camping site.

Day 4 of the Treffen Cruise, August 3rd

We met up at Fisherman's restaurant again and lined up. Its always an epic sight for the locals, the businesses all come out to photograph.

Last year they called us "Texas" and since those are big boots to fill we needed to own the reputation. Notice the two lovely Texas flags blowing in the wind.

We ate lunch in the beautiful redwoods, the scene looked like a mini car show.

Waiting for Dave and Scott to deliver the grillables, we have so many free lunches, its been awesome.

A great little picnic area was reserved for us, also the campers had a group site reserved that we gladly took advantage of. We were right next to the river so Professor got to swim and play fetch.
